How great are the sum of thy thoughts?
Gone too soon
This is a poem dedicated to my brother David, it was written by my aunt Claudine and she read it at his funeral in May 2002.
You made a choice to leave today
I wish I knew the words to say
to bring you back and make it okay
You have always right from birth
had a part of my heart, solely for you
for you were do special
in so many ways
I love you David, and need to say
I’ll miss you forever and a day
Lying on that floor tonight
your body was cold, yet your
soul was light
For like an eagle you took
the flight
Back to the Source that gives
you Light
Your Dad stood tall and strong
tonight
The greatest test ha has to fight
“Know that he will be alright”
Jen my friend, don’t question
why, cry my love and say goodbye
and release him to God in the
Heavenly sky
Martin, you have lost your brother
Remember there can be no other
Send him off in
“Light and Love” and know in
your heart, he is with God above
Lord my God up there so true
Hold David in your arms
he has returned to You
Goodbye my nephew that I
love so much,
You touched all our lives,
and that meant so much
Your smile and your face
I’ll never Forget
Goodbye boy
“Your are on of the best”
