New Beginnings… Finally

So my New Years resolution for 2009 started over a year ago, I really wanted to take things a bit easier last year, from the beginning of the year.  As simple as that sounds its not always the easiest to just chill out and not let the worries of the world bug you so much.  I suppose it starts with worries of your own, thoughts of loneliness and how you would cope with that cause you aren’t going out as much anymore.  As it turns out I managed to keep myself very entertained the whole of 2008 by just enjoying some movies and keeping tabs on all the various things I love to read about online…

Sort of a lazy reader myself, I like online reading, I really don’t have the urge to hold a book for too long.  Must be because I can distract myself for shorter periods of time before i feel the urge to do something else like fiddle around on Facebook or chat to people online and on Messenger.

This New Years Eve was quite possibly the most unique in all the years I have celebrated New Years and also the best yet.

New Years Day

Its almost the end of my little trip to Cape Town, must say I am missing home quite a bit, its been a really good Holiday.

We witnessed a life saving attempt on the beach due to drowning but unfortunately the guy had been down too long so his trip to the beach turned out to be fatal.

We then learnt that he was only one of four drowned at that moment on the primarily surfing beach in Table View.

Not the greatest way for people to start their New Year but they chose to swim where they were not meant to and clear indication that its a surfing beach is all over.

A State of Trance

It’s New Years eve and I am in Cape Town listening to some of the greatest Trance i have heard.  2008 has been a real blur and it’s almost like being in a ‘State of Trance’ while it went by at break neck speeds, too many high energy moments caused my year to just fly by me.

What fitting music to end the year where I beat unemployment with an awesome new career opportunity.  Moved back into my old place (well sort of).  Met a nice Girl who clearly has a lot of patience.  Has various friends moving all over the place, some to other countries…

2009 is going to be a year filled with roses for me personally… if that makes any sense.

New Years Eve at Jason and Vanessa:

All of you, enjoy yourselves and try to savour some moments in 2009.

Waves of Change

So the new year is coming up, 2009, wow!  Talk about the future, maybe when the world cup comes to South Africa we might actually have flying cars, just kidding.

I have already started doing a hell of a lot different this year and I intend to continue with this good change in my life.  Some of the things that were a real challenge for me are already starting to come right.  A great example of this is how I manage money, really not good at managing money at all.

Focusing on work is also something that is a challenge being such a day dreamer, I sometimes find myself daydreaming too long about the big picture out there that i loose track of the small little things which also count.  I am finding ways over the last six months which help me focus more so this upcoming year is really going to a roaring success for me in terms of my work.

Just to end off id like to wish everyone all the best for the new year, mines going to be so awesome its not even funny and I hope that you and your loved ones have a pretty swell time in 2009… Cheers.
